ATTIRE INSPIRATION FOR WEDDING DAY

Our wedding calls for casual cocktail attire with an equestrian fall theme. We are inspired by The Groton Hunt, which is an equestrian fox hunt that would take place in Groton in the 1900's. There is an antique mural painted in our dining room dating back to 1920 that depicts this equestrian event! 

This autumnal style includes (but not limited to) warm colors, knit textures, tweed, suede, and plaid. You can get inspiration from Ralph Lauren and the sample photos on this page. Dress stylishly and comfortably as we want everyone to feel relaxed! 

Button-downs and khakis are perfectly appropriate choices, as well as comfortable dresses (mini, midi or maxi), dress pants with a blouse/sweater, or rompers. 

Our reception will be in a tent in our yard so be prepared for walking in grass and please note that boots will work with the theme. While we hope there is no rain, we can't guarantee it and we may have wet grass.

Feel free to style your outfit with an overcoat. You are welcome to bring an extra sweater or over jacket that you can keep at your chair to grab if it gets chilly!
